The Coronavirus (COVID-19) - What We Are Doing and What You Need to Know
Dear Valued Patient: We Are Open!
In the midst of the current pandemic, we have resolved to remain open, to maintain a positive presence in our community, and to continue to provide care to patients that keeps them out of the emergency and urgent care centers where risk of exposure to COVID-19 remains high. Changes were quickly implemented in our day to day workflow to keep our wonderful patients, staff, and providers safe.
Here is what we are doing:
- All providers and staff are wearing N95 and equivalent masks as well as medical grade plexiglass eye protection for each patient visit.
- Thorough cleaning of patient rooms and the waiting room is performed throughout the day.
- Front office staff is screening patients for COVID-19 symptoms upon entry into the office.
- Scheduling patient appointments has been modified to minimize the number of patients occupying the waiting room.
- We now offer telemedicine visits! These are virtual scheduled appointments using a HIPAA-compliant, user-friendly video conferencing software that you can use to speak with a provider.
- Air filters and Ultraviolet light is utilized in the office to capture viral particles.
- Negative COVID-19 antigen testing has been implemented as part of our pre-operative protocol for all patients prior to any in-office or surgical procedures.
Here is what you can do during your appointment to keep yourself and others safe:
- Please wear your mask so that it covers your mouth AND your nose.
- Please cancel or reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing symptoms commonly associated with COVID-19 or have had recent exposure to persons confirmed to be COVID-19 positive.
- Common Symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Difficulty breathing
- Decreased or altered sense of smell
- Decreased or altered sense of taste
- Please limit the number of people you bring into the appointment with you.
- Please be on time for your appointment.
- Please practice physical distancing of at least 6 feet from other patients while in the waiting room.
- Please utilize the provided hand sanitizers placed throughout the office.
- Please self-quarantine for the days between required COVID-19 testing and any in-office or surgical procedure.
